Many of the Danisense transducers are available with an additional calibration winding with 100 turns. The maximum current in the calibration winding is 100mA.
Purpose of the calibration winding is to give our customers the ability to make in-circuit testing of the transducer without dismantling the entire system.
- Ensure no primary current in primary conductor
- Have a 100mA calibrated current source and apply it to the calibration winding - This gives an equivalent of 10A primary current
- Use a digital multimeter to measure the output current from the transducer
- By using this procedure the performance can be verified without removing the primary conductor
